Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Rogue ("we", "us") collects through this website, why, and the choices you have. It also explains how the Rogue service handles the text conversations it has on behalf of dealerships.
1. What we collect on this website
We keep this website simple, so we collect very little:
- Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, dealership name, cell phone number and your message.
- Technical information. Like any website, our servers receive your IP address and basic request details (such as the page requested and your browser type). We use them to deliver the site, keep it secure and limit abuse. For example, we count recent contact-form submissions per address in server memory to prevent spam.
This website does not use advertising or analytics trackers and does not set cookies. Fonts are served from our own site, so your browser does not contact third-party font services. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
2. How we use it
- To reply to your message, by email or phone, and continue the conversation you started.
- To operate, secure and improve this website, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use contact-form messages for advertising.
3. Who receives it
We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and handle your enquiry:
- Slack. Contact-form messages are delivered to our team through Slack, where they are visible to the people at Rogue who answer enquiries.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the website.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or Rogue. Providers act on our instructions and may process information in countries other than your own; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
4. How long we keep it
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of our correspondence, then delete or anonymize them. Rate-limiting counters live in server memory and disappear within about an hour. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
5. Text messages with a dealership
Rogue provides a service that dealerships use to talk with people who want to sell them a vehicle. When a dealership that uses Rogue texts you about selling your vehicle, or you text it, we process the conversation (your phone number, messages, photos and vehicle details) on that dealership's behalf and under its instructions. The dealership decides how that information is used and is responsible for it, so please contact the dealership about requests concerning those conversations. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from a dealership's number, and START to resume them.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent you have given. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We do not discriminate against people who exercise their privacy rights. To make a request, write to us through the contact page; we may need to confirm it is really you before acting on it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information, such as payment details or government identifiers, through the contact form.
8. Children
This website is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed, and we will make significant changes clear on this page.
